H.E.I. does more than our Fuel Nozzle Program! Let us bid on your airframe and engine maintenance work you won't be disappointed and you'll probably $ave in the long run!
Fuel Nozzle Maintenance and Overhaul is the major factor affecting the life and performance of turbine engine hot sections. Being diligent about this critical maintenance procedure will save the operator money over the life of the hot section.
There are two types of fuel nozzles used in small turbine engines ... simplex and duplex. Both use pressure to atomize or break the fuel into tiny particles.
Simplex nozzles have only one orifice for the fuel to flow. The fuel nozzle tip contains an internal screen and distributor and an inherited trait to collect dirt and carbon. Duplex nozzles operate in the same manner as simplex nozzles except that they have two orifices instead of one.
Because of the design of these nozzles, spray pattern streaking and drooling will occur when proper maintenance is not performed. Engine manufacturers recommend scheduled inspection, cleaning, replacement or overhaul.
While the factory recommends replacement every 400 hours, we encourage replacement to be every 200 hours in order to prevent this situation.
Fuel nozzle sets can be purchased individually or you can get one of our "Fuel Nozzle Kits" that includes the Fuel Nozzle Set, S.O.A.P Kit, Fuel Filter plus everything you need for your 100 and/or 200 Hour Inspection.
